Rosatom says its solutions to assist in Russia’s IT independence
MOSCOW, Jul 12 (PRIME) -- Russian nuclear power corporation Rosatom creates industrial software, and offers it to different local consumers and trains young specialists to ensure the country’s IT independence, Yevgeny Abakumov, head for IT at the corporation, told PRIME on Tuesday.
“Today, the Russian IT reality faces colossal external pressure. The exodus of the Western vendors from the market and the risks to sustainability of infrastructure shaped two IT priorities -- technological sovereignty and cementing reliability of functioning of the IT landscape,” Abakumov said.
The solution is taking place against the background of another important matter, which is the digital industrial revolution.
Equipped with a wide range of diversified business directions, Rosatom plays a significant role in the processes of information support of the lifecycle by introducing import-independent solutions for the progress of the core business processes, the executive said.
He added that one of the vectors put forward by Rosatom is a lean smart plant, which is a new way of assembling and deployment of technologies of industrial revolution in the nuclear industry.
